1000 days without LTI

On January 20th 2012 we celebrated 1000 days without a Lost-Time Incident (LTI) at Dhirubhai-1. This is a significant milestone that has been achieved because of the commitment and dedication from the FPSO crew onboard and from the onshore support team. Approximately 850 000 manhours has been spent at Dhirubhai-1 through this 1000 days by regular crews, contractors and suppliers
4th quarter 2011 with 100% uptime
As from Final Acceptance Certificate formal signing by both parties on 1st July 2009, Dhirubhai-1 has been producing at field capacity. The FPSO is currently producing more than 80.000 barrels of oil equivalents. Gas is exported via a subsea pipeline to consumers onshore. In 3rd quarter 2011, the FPSO had 100% uptime. Aker SMART 2: Ready for conversion
The conversion candidate Aker Smart 2 is the identical twin of Aker Smart 1 which was converted into “FPSO Dhirubhai 1”.She is maintained and kept in excellent condition in the vicinity of Singapore awaiting her conversion. Aker Floating Production are in dialogue with Oil Companies that see the significant risk reducing and cost reducing benefits of utilizing 10,000 engineering documents from the sister project, when converting her into an FPSO.

Aker Floating Production is an oil service company focused on the market for leased Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. The company is spearheading two decades of FPSO experience within Aker. Our business is to construct, own, charter out and operate FPSOs equipped for offshore oil and gas production. In 2008 the Company completed the conversion of Aker Smart 1 into “FPSO Dhirubhai 1” in record time. She is operating in 1200m water depth offshore the East Coast of India for Reliance Industries Ltd. - with a market leading uptime.
PROPOSAL TO MERGE
Aker Floating Production ASA (“AKFP”) on 4 November 2011 received a proposal from Aker ASA for a merger between AKFP and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aker ASA.
