On the 25th of May 2010, Dhirubhai-1 celebrated one year/365 days without a lost-time incident. This is a significant milestone that has been achieved because of the commitment and dedication from the FPSO crew onboard and the onshore support team.It is still important that we continue to strive and promote workplace health and safety. Training, management tools and procedures represent the platform, but the basic responsibility lies with each individual on board.
Dhirubhai-1 uptime and gas injection/export efficiency
As from Final Acceptance Certificate formal signing by both parties on 1st July 2009 Dhirubhai-1 has been producing at field capacity. Production constraints are given by well capacity. Early February 2009 two new wells were hooked for production and production was increased to approximately 3 MMSCMD gas and 20000 bbls/d oil. All gas was reinjected into the reservoir. Production was until this time constrained by well productivity and injection capacity. As from this time gas is exported via a subsea pipeline to the clients gas plant onshore. Aker SMART 2 – Ready for conversion
The conversion candidate Aker Smart 2 is the identical twin of Aker Smart 1 which was converted into “FPSO Dhirubhai 1”.She is maintained and kept in excellent condition in the vicinity of Singapore awaiting her conversion. Aker Floating Production are in dialogue with Oil Companies that see the significant risk reducing and cost reducing benefits of utilizing 10,000 engineering documents from the sister project, when converting her into an FPSO.
