Aker Floating Production is an oil service company focused on the market for leased Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units. The company is spearheading two decades of FPSO experience within Aker. Our business is to construct, own, charter out and operate FPSOs equipped for offshore oil and gas production. In 2008 the Company completed the conversion of Aker Smart 1 into “FPSO Dhirubhai 1” in record time. She is operating in 1200m water depth offshore the East Coast of India for Reliance Industries Ltd. - with an uptime close to 100%.

Aker Smart FPSOs are designed to provide the field operators with a flexible and cost effective production facility.
